The flowery, citrus fragrance of Bergamot Oil comes from the rind of the Bergamot Orange. Grown primarily in Southern Italy, this sour fruit, although inedible is prized for the fragrant oil in the skin. Since 1714, French perfume makers have used the oil. It is one of the few essential oils made from cold-pressing, the same process as olive oil.
